Inkberry (Ilex glabra) is a member of the holly family and is native to the southern and eastern parts of the United States. More cold-tolerant than Japanese holly varieties, it endures both shade and light and provides food for bees (with their flowers) and birds (with subsequent berries). A simple evergreen, inkberry works well whether as planting or hedging a base.

How to plant?

1. Soak them in water for 12 hours.
2. After 12 hours, plant the inkberry seed into a pot of soil with drainage holes and cover it with a thin layer of soil.
3. Keep the pot moist until the seedling has grown roots, then transplant it into an area with more sunlight and better drainage.
