How to germinate?

The best time for planting bamboo seeds is when the ground is not frozen. It is also important to find a well-drained area in order to germinate the seeds.

First, prepare the potting soil. The potting soil should be at least 4 inches deep.

Bamboo plants prefer nice, acidic soil with plenty of moisture and sunlight. When you plant bamboo seeds in this type of environment, your chances of success are much higher!

Once finished, water the potting soil until moist, but not saturated.

Place two or three bamboo seeds in each hole in the container and cover with a thin layer of composted manure or leaf mold.

Cover the container with clear plastic wrap and secure it loosely around the container with a rubber band to prevent moisture from escaping.

Place container where it will receive indirect sunlight for 6-8 hours each day and keep the soil moist by spritzing it daily or watering carefully when necessary - do not overwater!

After 7-10 days, remove plastic wrap and transplant seedlings into individual containers filled with moist potting soil.
