Planting Instructions:
- Soil Preparation: Choose a well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Impatiens prefer partial to full shade and thrive in cool, sheltered locations.
- Sowing Seeds: Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost date. Sow seeds on the surface of the soil and lightly press them in without covering, as they need light to germinate.
- Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist during germination. After seedlings emerge, water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged.
- Transplanting: When seedlings have at least two sets of true leaves and the danger of frost has passed, transplant them outdoors, spacing them 8-12 inches apart.
- Growing: Apply a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every two weeks to promote healthy growth and vibrant blooms. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous blooming.
- Maintenance: Mulch around plants to retain moisture and control weeds. Watch for pests such as aphids and treat as necessary.
