Bring a burst of vibrant color to your garden with our premium Coreopsis Flower Seeds. Known for their dazzling, daisy-like blooms, Coreopsis (also called tickseed) is a garden favorite that offers a long blooming season and a stunning display of flowers in shades of yellow, gold, pink, red, and bicolor patterns. These hardy perennials and annuals are easy to grow, attract pollinators, and are perfect for garden beds, borders, wildflower meadows, and containers. Our high-quality Coreopsis seeds are selected for their excellent germination rates and robust growth, ensuring a lively and low-maintenance addition to any garden.

Key Features:

  • Dazzling Blooms: Produces an abundance of bright, cheerful flowers from late spring to fall.
  • Pollinator Friendly: Attracts bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects, supporting a healthy garden ecosystem.
  • Long Blooming Season: Enjoy continuous color throughout the growing season.
  • Easy to Grow: Ideal for gardeners of all skill levels with minimal care requirements.
  • Versatile Planting: Suitable for garden beds, borders, wildflower meadows, and containers. Great for xeriscaping due to its drought tolerance.

Planting Instructions:

  1. Seed Preparation: Coreopsis seeds do not require any special preparation before planting.

  2. Timing: Sow seeds directly outdoors in early spring after the last frost, or start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date for earlier blooms.

  3. Soil Preparation: Select a location with well-draining soil. Coreopsis thrives in sandy or loamy soil but can adapt to various soil types. The soil pH should be slightly acidic to neutral (5.5-7.5).

  4. Sowing Depth: Scatter seeds on the soil surface and gently press them in. Do not cover with soil, as they require light to germinate. Space seeds about 12-18 inches apart to accommodate mature plant size.

Growing Conditions:

  1. Light: Full sun is essential for optimal growth and flowering. Coreopsis needs at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight per day.
  2. Temperature: Hardy in USDA zones 4-9, Coreopsis can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, including heat and mild frost.
  3. Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist until seedlings emerge. Once established, Coreopsis is drought-tolerant and only requires occasional watering.

Care Tips:

  • Watering: Water young plants regularly until established. Mature plants need watering only during prolonged dry spells.
  • Mulching: Apply mulch around the base of the plants to retain moisture, regulate soil temperature, and suppress weeds.
  • Fertilizing: Coreopsis typically does not require much fertilization. If desired, apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in the spring.
  • Pruning: Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous flowering. Cut back the plants in late fall after flowering has finished.

Pest and Disease Management:

  • Pests: Coreopsis is generally resistant to most pests. Occasionally, aphids or leafhoppers may appear. Use insecticidal soap or neem oil if needed.
  • Diseases: Ensure good air circulation and avoid overhead watering to prevent fungal diseases such as powdery mildew. Plant in well-draining soil to avoid root rot.
