Growing Instructions:
- Start Indoors: Sow seeds indoors in a seed-starting tray filled with moist, well-draining soil. Cover lightly, as hydrangea seeds need light to germinate.
- Temperature & Light: Keep the tray in a warm, bright spot (about 65-70°F or 18-21°C) with indirect sunlight.
- Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy.
- Transplanting: Once seedlings have grown 2-3 leaves, transplant them outdoors after the last frost, in a spot with morning sun and afternoon shade.
- Soil pH for Color: Hydrangeas are unique in that the bloom color can change based on soil pH. Acidic soil (pH 5.0-5.5) will produce blue flowers, while neutral to alkaline soil (pH 6.0-7.0) results in pink blooms.
