The snake plant is a popular houseplant because it is easy to care for and can survive in low light. It is also called mother-in-law's tongue, or Sansevieria. The plant has a long, narrow leaf that looks like a tongue and can grow up to three feet tall.
The best time to plant snake plant seeds is in the spring. The soil should be moist but not wet. A good potting mix for snake plants is one part peat moss, one part perlite, and one part coarse sand.
Planting Instructions:
- Fill a pot with soil.
- Place the seeds on top of the soil.
- Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil.
- Place the pot in a warm, sunny spot and keep it moist but not wet.
- Keep the soil moist for about two weeks to make sure that it is well watered and then let it dry out between waterings.
- When you see new growth, you can move the pot to a cooler location with less light exposure.
